Position Overview:

A Chalegre is a Sydney-based company specialising in residential and commercial roofing services. The business provides expert roof tiling installation, roof repairs, re-roofing, and ongoing maintenance solutions. It is committed to delivering durable, weather-resistant roofing systems that meet Australian building standards and ensure long-term performance and reliability.

As a Roof Tiler at A Chalegre, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end roofing services including installation, repair, and restoration of tiled roof systems in line with the company's residential and commercial projects. This position requires strong technical roofing capability and adherence to company service standards.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Install roof tiles on residential and commercial buildings in accordance with project specifications and Australian Standards
• Carry out roof restoration and re-roofing works as required across assigned projects
• Repair and replace damaged, broken, or weather-affected roof tiles
• Prepare roof surfaces for tile installation, including inspection, cleaning, and setting out
• Apply underlay, sarking, insulation, and waterproofing materials as part of roofing systems
• Measure, cut, position, and secure roofing tiles to ensure accurate alignment and durable finishes
• Inspect completed roofing work to ensure compliance with quality standards and building regulations
• Collaborate with construction teams and site supervisors to complete roofing projects efficiently
• Maintain roofing tools, equipment, and ensure work areas are kept clean and safe
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures while working at heights and on active construction sites

Qualifications and Skills:

• Relevant qualification
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Roof Tiler
• Strong experience in residential and commercial roof tiling systems
• Ability to interpret roofing plans and project specifications
• Knowledge of roofing materials, waterproofing, and installation methods
• Physically fit and capable of working at heights in outdoor conditions

Salary:
The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $79,000 - $90,000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
