Senior Pharmacist - Education

• Salary: Grade 3 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

About the role:

Western Health is seeking an experienced and motivated pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Education team as Senior Pharmacist - Education. Leading our intern program, as well as overseeing the direction of our student and orientation programs, you'll play a central role in supporting the development of pharmacy staff at every career stage, while contributing to a culture of continuous learning, innovation and excellence across the pharmacy service.

Working within a dedicated and innovative team, you'll also have the chance to contribute to the strategic direction of pharmacy education at one of Victoria's largest and fastest-growing healthcare providers - influencing how learning and development is delivered across the service, now and into the future.

This position is fixed-term (12 months), full-time and available now!

Key responsibilities:

• Drive and lead the intern program, ensuring high-quality training and support throughout the year
• Oversee the undergraduate student and orientation programs
• Design and deliver education, training and professional development initiatives for pharmacy staff across all career stages
• Support workforce capability development and contribute to contemporary, evidence-based learning programs
• Contribute to the strategic direction of pharmacy education services

About you:

• Minimum of 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience
• Demonstrated experience with the provision of pharmacy education programs
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to guide, support and develop staff
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Knowledge and understanding of different learning and supervision styles, with the ability to apply these approaches when teaching staff and students with a broad range of abilities and skills
• Sound knowledge of, and experience in, clinical pharmacy services
• Strong collaboration, communication and time management skills

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women's prison located in Ravenhall.
