About the Role
We’re looking for an MR Truck Driver who is happy to drive and get on the tools. You’ll operate MR vehicles, transport materials and equipment, and help the crew with general road maintenance and labouring when required.
Position: MR Truck Driver
Rate: $48.94 per hour + superannuation
Location: Mardi, Central Coast NSW
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Expected Hours: Primarily 6:30am - 3:30pm weekdays; some night shifts required.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive MR trucks safely between worksites
- Transport tools, materials and equipment
- Load, secure and unload materials safely
- Complete daily vehicle and safety checks
- Report vehicle faults and maintenance issues
- Assist with general road maintenance work
- Use hand and power tools when required
- Help with manual labouring when not driving
- Follow traffic management and site safety procedures
- Work safely around traffic, vehicles and plant
- Follow Chain of Responsibility requirements
- Work closely with supervisors and road crews
About You
- Current Australian MR driver's licence or higher
- Current Construction White Card
- Worker on Foot (WOF) certificate, or willing to complete
- Traffic Control ticket highly regarded
- Previous MR truck driving experience
- Construction, civil or maintenance experience preferred
- Comfortable doing hands-on labouring work
- Physically fit for outdoor work
- Safety focused and reliable
- Available for occasional night shifts
- Able to provide two recent employment references
- Willing to complete a Police Check
- Valid Australian working rights required - no visa sponsorship available
