The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our team at our Yagoona facility.

Reporting to the Operations Manager this role is responsible for leading all site transport logistics and dispatch activities to ensure safe compliant and efficient operations. You will oversee freight scheduling loading activities dispatch performance and contractor management while supervising a team consisting of a Logistics/Dispatch Administrator and three Forklift Drivers.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring customer delivery requirements are achieved production schedules are supported and logistics operations are managed safely and efficiently.

The role requires strong leadership transport coordination expertise customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport dispatch and freight activities to meet customer delivery requirements and production schedules.
• Lead and support the logistics team including a Logistics/Dispatch Administrator and Forklift Drivers.
• Manage freight providers and contractor drivers including scheduling compliance and site access.
• Ensure safe loading load restraint and Chain of Responsibility compliance across all transport activities.
• Work closely with production operations and customer service teams to prioritise deliveries and resolve issues.
• Monitor logistics performance customer service outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety productivity and cost efficiency.

About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally possess:

• Experience in a Transport Logistics or Dispatch leadership role within manufacturing industrial or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of transport compliance load restraint and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
• Experience managing freight providers contractor drivers and logistics teams.
• Strong organisational communication and customer service skills.
• Experience using ERP dispatch or freight management systems.
• A proactive safety-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.

Desirable: Forklift Licence Dogging Licence and heavy vehicle knowledge.
