The Climate Change Fund (CCF) Portfolio Management Office is seeking expressions of interest for a temporary backfill opportunity as Senior Project Officer Portfolio Management (Evaluation).

This role sits within the CCF PMO and plays a key role in supporting portfolio-level monitoring evaluation reporting and improvement activities. The position provides strategic advice analysis and assurance to support evidence-based decision-making and strengthen oversight of the CCF portfolio.

Key priorities during the backfill period

While the successful candidate will undertake the full responsibilities of the role there are several priority deliverables scheduled for completion during this period including:

  • Project managing the Fund-level Mid-Term Evaluation Synthesis and CCF PMO Review including procurement and management of external consultants stakeholder engagement and governance reporting.
  • Drafting the evaluation section of the CCF Annual Report including synthesis of end-of-program evaluation findings and recommendations completed during the financial year.
  • Conducting the analysis and drafting of the Climate Change Fund Portfolio Monitoring Report 202526 including interpretation of portfolio performance information and identification of key insights and risks
  • Updating the Funds core performance management documentation including the:
    • Climate Change Fund Evaluation Guide
    • Climate Change Fund MERI Framework
    • Climate Change Fund Monitoring Guide
  • Providing monitoring and evaluation advice to CCF program teams and governance committees to support legislative and policy requirements.

  • Who can analyse and synthesise complex information from multiple sources and translate it into clear practical advice.
  • Who can manage competing projects and priorities.
  • Who can build strong relationships and work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Who can communicate complex concepts clearly through high-quality written reports briefing materials and presentations.
  • Who can apply results-based management principles in a policy program or portfolio setting.
  • Who has experience in program evaluation performance reporting performance monitoring and governance.
