This is a permanent full-time role with a hybrid work key responsibilities include:Directly supporting the Legal Team Manager and senior lawyers this role will see you deliver high quality timely legal advice and services in respect of a broad range of medical defence matters to Avant Insurance claims managers and Avants members concerning litigated oral and written legal advice to members and Avant Insurance claims managers concerning civil litigation legal claims and general medico-legal and manage legal files relating to civil claims and other matters contributing to the delivery and achievement of a superior and comprehensive legal members in legal proceedings attend court and through clear and persuasive advocacy achieve the best outcome for the be successful in this role you will have:Demonstrated post admission experience in private practice (ideally 2-4 PAE) in medical negligence and/or defendant personal injury tertiary legal qualifications. Eligible to hold an unsupervised practising certificate as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of experience conducting all phases of defence personal injury or health litigation would be highly with the ability to express ideas effectively with proven excellent written and verbal communication level of prioritisation time management and self-management ability to work collaboratively with the claims team computer literacy and competency to work in an electronic document management environment.
