The Opportunity

The Senior People & Culture Officer is a key role within Anmacs Corporate Services team supporting the delivery of a highperforming safe and valuesaligned workplace.

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager the role leads the design implementation and embedding of ANMACs WHS framework while delivering high-quality generalist HR support across recruitment employee relations policy compliance and workforce reporting. It is a dual-focus role that ensures ANMAC meets its safety obligations while building the people capability and experience needed to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design implementation and ongoing management of Anmacs Work Health and Safety (WHS) framework ensuring compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (ACT) and maintaining a proactive auditready safety culture.
• Manage WHS incident processes endtoend including reporting investigation root cause analysis corrective actions and accurate recordkeeping.
• Conduct and coordinate workplace risk assessments translating findings into practical mitigation strategies and ensuring actions are implemented and monitored.
• Deliver WHS inductions training and safety briefings and lead the WHS Committee ensuring governance requirements are met and outcomes are documented and followed through.
• Provide highquality HR generalist support across recruitment employee relations performance management policy interpretation and workforce matters.
• Draft review and maintain HR and WHS policies and procedures ensuring legislative compliance and alignment with best practice.
• Lead endtoend recruitment and onboarding processes supporting positive candidate and new starter experiences aligned with Anmacs values.
• Own and administer Employment Hero as Anmacs HRIS acting as the internal subject matter expert supporting managers and staff maintaining data integrity and driving continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate HR and WHS records and produce workforce and safety reports analysing trends and providing insights to support organisational decisionmaking.
• Support employee engagement wellbeing and culture initiatives contributing to a safe inclusive and highperforming workplace.
• Provide daytoday guidance and support to the People & Culture Officer contributing to team capability consistency and effective service delivery.
• Support office and facilities coordination activities as required to ensure a safe functional and productive work environment.

About You

You are an experienced People & Culture professional with a strong generalist background and demonstrated capability in WHS management. You are confident operating in a handson role balancing compliance requirements with practical peoplefocused solutions.

You bring strong judgement attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with managers and stakeholders across the organisation. You are comfortable working in a purposedriven environment and take pride in building systems processes and relationships that support both organisational outcomes and employee experience.

Qualifications and Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Work Health and Safety Business Administration or a related discipline or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role with responsibility for WHS coordination or program management
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment and WHS legislation
• Experience managing recruitment onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
• Experience using HR information systems (Employment Hero highly regarded)
• Experience in notforprofit healthcare regulatory or professional services environments is highly regarded
