Job description
  • Running your own practice costs you more than money. It costs you time you could be spending with patients.
  • The average private practice psychologist spends 812 hours per week on admin billing Medicare claims and chasing referrals. Thats one to one and a half full clinical days unpaid.
  • At Synapsea that work is ours.
  • You carry the clinical load. We carry everything else.
  • What you actually earn with us. Our registered psychologist session fee is $180. You keep 65% $117 per session paid to you.

  • No invoice chasing. No software subscriptions. No room rental. No marketing spends. Those costs sit with us not you.

What the role looks like

  • 100% telehealth work from home or anywhere in Australia
  • You set your own hours and your own schedule
  • No minimum sessions. No patient quotas
  • We manage all Medicare billing admin scheduling and patient intake
  • Consistent referral pipeline provided from day one
  • Full clinical infrastructure in place before your first session

Who we are

  • Synapsea is a telehealth mental health clinic launching in Australia in 2026. We are building a small carefully selected founding clinical team psychologists who want to do serious clinical work without the administrative burden of running their own practice.
  • We are not a large aggregator platform. We are a focused clinic with a clear model and a founding team that has direct input into how we operate.
  • Founding team positions are limited.

Why take 65% when I could run my own practice at 100%

Running your own practice at 100% means you also absorb rent software insurance billing time no-show losses and the months it takes to build a referral pipeline. Most solo practitioners net 5570% of their gross billings after overhead and spend significant unpaid hours getting there.

With Synapsea 65% is your floor not your ceiling after costs. And your time outside sessions is yours.
