THE POSITION
- Manage the collection sorting and disposal of general clinical and hazardous waste in line with hospital protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Operate waste equipment safely and maintain clean hygienic waste areas including bins rooms and disposal points.
- Support waste audits sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement in waste management practices.
- Coordinate waste logistics including bin washing carousel and chute systems and subcontractor collections.
- Maintain accurate records follow infection control procedures and collaborate with hospital teams to ensure safe efficient operations.
THE PERSON
- Experience in waste management or environmental services (healthcare experience highly regarded).
- Knowledge of waste handling practices and infection control protocols.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently manage physical tasks and meet operational schedules.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative team-focused approach.
