We have permanent roster lines available across our SIL homes in Townsville offering a 3040-hour fortnightly contracts primarily consisting of sleepover shifts (up to 5 per Fortnight) with some afternoon and day shifts. Enjoy a variety of night shifts to allow time for study family time or other commitments with opportunities to pick up additional shifts where available.

Working within ourSIL(Supported Independent Living) homeinTownsvilleyou will provide supportassistingpeople with disabilities to live as independently as possible whether they have complex needs or just need someadditionalsupport at home. No two days will be the same - you may hear that phrase a lot but here at Endeavour Foundation you will see it in action!

Other key duties will include:

• Helping people to achieve their NDIS goals by developing important daily skills such as housekeeping personal care socialskillsand budgeting.

• Assistingwith aspects of personal care whererequiredto meet the individual needs of the people we support.

• Supporting with meal planning cooking light cleaning and facilitating community connection by socialising and going on outings.

• Providing support during daily activities such as going for a walk going to themoviesoraccompanyingto an appointment.

• Helping the people we support tomaintaina connection to their family friends and services.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is a calm compassionate and professional Disability Support Worker with experience supporting individuals with complex support needs and behaviours of concern. You will be confident providing personal care and supporting daily living tasks while creating a safe respectful and supportive environment. The ability to remain calm under pressure respondappropriately to challenging situations and build trusting relationships is essential for success in this role.

We alsorequire:

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) isadvantageous.

• Availability to work a permanent roster line that may includemultiple sleepovers and a variety of shifts across days evenings early mornings weekends and active overnight supports.

• Good computer skills and experience using WordExceland Outlook.

• Hold or be willing to obtain aWorking with Children Check(Blue Card)NDIS Worker Screening Check(Yellow Card)First AidCPRNational Criminal History Check(Fit2Work) and an openDriversLicensewithcomprehensive insuranceon your vehicle.
