We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Commercial Legal Assistant to join a busy and well-regarded Sydney CBD practice specialising in litigation and dispute resolution.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a capable legal assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting lawyers across a varied and interesting commercial litigation practice.
About the Role
You will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to a team of commercial litigation lawyers. Your responsibilities will include:
Drafting, formatting, and preparing legal correspondence and court documents
Filing court documents and managing key litigation deadlines
Diary management, inbox management, and scheduling support for fee earners
Assisting with monthly billing, time entry, and file maintenance
Preparing briefs and organising evidence and discovery materials
Liaising with clients, courts, counsel, and external stakeholders
General administrative and practice support as required
About You
The ideal candidate will bring:
Previous experience as a legal assistant (commercial litigation experience highly regarded)
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
High attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Confidence working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with legal practice management systems advantageous)
A proactive, professional, and team-focused attitude
