Apprentice Chef Banquets

Key Duties:

• Assist with the preparation and cooking of high-quality food in accordance with recipes menu specifications and food safety standards.
• Learn and develop practical cookery skills under the guidance of experienced chefs across a variety of kitchen sections.
• Prepare ingredients including washing peeling chopping and portioning ensuring consistency and quality.
• Maintain a clean organised and hygienic kitchen adhering to all food safety HACCP and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Assist with receiving storing and rotating stock to minimise waste and maintain product freshness.
• Support the kitchen team during service by ensuring food is prepared and presented efficiently and to a high standard.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly while following all workplace procedures and instructions.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude willingness to learn and commitment to completing a recognised commercial cookery apprenticeship while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications :

Skills & Experience:

• A genuine passion for food cooking and developing a career in the hospitality industry.
• Enrolled in or willing to undertake a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent apprenticeship qualification).
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude eagerness to learn and the ability to follow instructions and accept feedback.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
