Job description
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing team.
This is a genuine new business role, focused on identifying opportunities, opening new accounts and building long-term customer relationships.
If you already have experience selling food packaging or related products and have established industry contacts, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across Australia
- Prospect and secure new wholesale and distributor accounts
- Manage the complete sales process from lead generation through to closing
- Build strong long-term relationships with customers
- Identify opportunities for customised and OEM packaging solutions
- Prepare quotations and negotiate commercial agreements
- Work closely with production and customer service teams to deliver excellent outcomes
- Attend customer visits, trade shows and industry events
About You
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Minimum 2 years’ B2B sales experience
- Previous experience within the food packaging, plastics, disposable packaging or FMCG packaging industry
- Existing relationships with distributors, wholesalers or food manufacturers (highly regarded)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Self-motivated with a proven track record of developing new business
- Ability to work independently and manage your own sales pipeline
