YOUR NEW ROLE

The role is responsible for construction management across all projects delivered by the Infrastructure & Procurement (I&P) Portfolio including under the Capital Works Programs and Maintenance Programs. This position provides expert construction advice and manages a range of building development and maintenance projects through the design construction and commissioning stages ensuring delivery in accordance with overall Sydney Opera House and NSW Government requirements.

ARE YOU THE ONE

To be successful in this opportunity you will need to demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering building or construction (or equivalent industry experience) with specialist knowledge of building services BCA/WHS legislation contractor management and technical compliance.
• Over 10 years recent experience successfully leading major capital works and maintenance projects delivering complex projects in demanding operational environments.
• Proven expertise across the full project lifecycle including planning budgeting design management tendering contract administration statutory approvals stakeholder engagement and project delivery.
• Exceptional communication relationship management and leadership skills with the ability to influence coach and collaborate effectively with executives staff consultants architects and contractors.
• Strong commercial strategic and political acumen supported by experience in governance information management procedure development and providing recommendations on sensitive issues.
