About the roleWe are seeking an experiencedRestaurant Managerto join our team at our Haberfield location in NSW. This is afull-time positionwhere you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our café pasticceria and restaurant environment ensuring exceptional customer experiences and maintaining the highest standards of service. As Restaurant Manager you will play a crucial role in upholding Pasticceria Papas reputation for quality hospitality and operational excellence. You will lead a dedicated team manage financial performance and ensure our venue remains a cherished destination for our community.

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee all daily restaurant operations including opening and closing procedures and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations
2. Lead train mentor and supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff to deliver exceptional customer service consistently
3. Manage staff scheduling rosters and performance management to maintain optimal service levels
4. Monitor and control costs including food beverages and labour to achieve budgeted financial targets
5. Maintain high standards of cleanliness hygiene and presentation throughout the restaurant and café areas
6. Handle customer inquiries complaints and feedback professionally resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
7. Manage inventory stock rotation and ordering of supplies in coordination with the kitchen and administrative teams
8. Implement and maintain quality control standards for food and beverage service
9. Contribute to the development and execution of marketing initiatives and promotions to drive customer engagement and revenue
10. Build strong relationships with regular customers whilst maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
11. Liaise with senior management on operational matters performance metrics and strategic improvements

What were looking for

1. Proven 3-5 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar hospitality management role in a fast-paced environment
2. Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate develop and manage teams effectively
3. Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences
4. Valuable understanding of P&L management budgeting and cost control in a food and beverage setting
5. Knowledge of food safety health and hygiene regulations and best practices
6. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
7. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
8. Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software
9. Flexibility to work weekends public holidays and varying shifts as required
10. A passion and knowledge for Italian culture food and hospitality (preferred)
11. Relevant hospitality qualifications or certifications (preferred)
12. A valid RSA is required
13. Wine and cocktails knowledge (preferred)
14. First Aid certificate (preferred)
