We have 2 exciting opportunities across the team in Central West Orana and New England REZ.
EnergyCo is the Infrastructure Planner responsible for delivering Renewable Energy Zones across NSW including the Central-West Orana and New England Renewable Energy Zones (REZs). These are nation-leading projects that will unlock significant renewable energy generation attract billions of dollars in private investment and create thousands of construction jobs across regional New South Wales. These positions will support the large areas of the Central West and New England regions these REZs are being delivered in partnership with local communities industry and Traditional Owners including the Wiradjuri Wailwan Kamilaroi and Gomeroi peoples.

About the Opportunity
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering meaningful social community and Aboriginal participation outcomes on one of EnergyCos major infrastructure projects.
As Manager Social Outcomes you will lead the planning implementation and monitoring of key social impact workforce development and Industry and Aboriginal Participation doing this you will be ensuring contractual policy and regulatory commitments are achieved while creating lasting benefits for regional communities. Working across government industry contractors Aboriginal stakeholders and community organisations you will provide strategic leadership oversee complex stakeholder engagement manage social performance reporting and ensure delivery partners embed social outcomes into project execution.
This role is central to strengthening EnergyCos social licence to operate by balancing commercial objectives with positive measurable community outcomes.
About You
You are an experienced social outcomes community development or stakeholder engagement professional with a strong track record delivering social impact Aboriginal participation and workforce development initiatives within large-scale infrastructure energy or government projects. You bring a practical understanding of legislative and policy frameworks coupled with the ability to translate strategic plans into on-the-ground outcomes through effective collaboration with contractors delivery partners and government agencies. Your strength lies in building trusted relationships with regional communities including Aboriginal and First Nations stakeholders navigating complex and sensitive issues and influencing diverse groups to achieve shared objectives. Highly organised and outcomes-focused you are comfortable balancing competing priorities using data to measure performance and providing strategic advice that supports sustainable community benefits throughout the project lifecycle.

Who we are
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Governments Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap which aims to transform the states electricity system into one that is cheap clean and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020 EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the States first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs) which are located in the Central-West Orana New England South West Hunter-Central Coast and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities investors and industry to investigate plan recommend and coordinate generation storage and network infrastructure projects.
We acknowledge the ongoing custodial responsibilities of the Aboriginal peoples of NSW to care for Country and water and are committed to establishing meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal peoples in the management of the environment.
