Senior Retail Analyst

You’ll play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives, improving productivity and helping us deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers and our business.

About the Role

As Senior Retail Analyst, you’ll be a trusted partner across the business, providing high-quality analysis, reporting and insights that support commercial and operational decision-making.

You’ll use data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, helping teams understand performance drivers and make informed decisions. From dashboards and reporting frameworks through to business cases, forecasting and financial modelling, your work will directly support the delivery of key initiatives across our omnichannel strategy.

You’ll also have the opportunity to leverage modern data platforms, visualisation tools and AI-enabled solutions to automate workflows, enhance reporting and support more efficient insight generation.

What you’ll be doing

• Delivering clear, accurate and actionable analysis to support business performance
• Building, maintaining and enhancing dashboards, reporting frameworks and analytical tools
• Translating complex data into practical insights for a wide range of stakeholders
• Identifying trends, risks and opportunities across retail operations
• Supporting business case development, forecasting and financial modelling
• Partnering with teams across Stores, Online, Supply Chain, Merchandise and Finance
• Leading deeper analytical investigations into performance drivers
• Supporting strategic programs, transformation initiatives and continuous improvement activity
• Championing best practice in data management, reporting and insights generation
• Helping uplift analytical capability and confidence across the broader business

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring strong analytical capability, commercial curiosity and the confidence to influence decision-making through data. You’ll be comfortable working with large and complex datasets and able to communicate insights in a way that is clear, relevant and easy to act on.

You’ll also bring:

• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Sigma, Power BI, Tableau or similar
• Experience working with modern data platforms and relational tables
• Proficiency in SQL
• Experience in retail, commercial, supply chain, operations or similar environments
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• The ability to translate data into insights, recommendations and action
• A good understanding of rostering principles and practices
• Strong stakeholder partnering skills and the ability to influence outcomes
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
