Trainer and Assessor - Carpentry and Construction courses
Macallan College is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Trainer/Assessor to deliver Carpentry & Construction courses at our Sydney Campus in Parramatta.

Qualifications You Will Deliver
- CPC30220 – Certificate III in Carpentry
- CPC31920 – Certificate III in Joinery
- CPC32620 – Certificate III Roof Plumbing
- MSF30322 – Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology
Key responsibilities
- Deliver practical and classroom‑based training and assessment.
- Maintain accurate student progress and assessment records.
- Participate in assessment moderation / validation activities.
- Conduct regular audits of workshop resources and equipment.
- Coordinate monthly PPE stock ordering and workshop readiness.
- Engage with industry and complete annual industry currency activities.
- Ensure compliance with Macallan policies and RTO requirements.
Essential requirements
- TAE40122 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or higher/equivalent)
- Vocational competency in one or more of the following (or equivalent):
- CPC30220 – Certificate III in Carpentry
- CPC31920 – Certificate III in Joinery
- CPC32620 – Certificate III Roof Plumbing
- MSF30322 – Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology
- Recent experience teaching in the VET sector
- Current industry experience and strong trade knowledge
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated initiative and self‑management
- Understanding of RTO compliance and operational requirements
- National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
- Current Driver Licence
Desirable
- Experience delivering to international students
- Strong local industry/community networks
- Confident using aXcelerate or similar systems
- 2+ years VET teaching experience well regarded
