Due to continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

About the Role


This is a hands-on role responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of a diverse fleet of civil and transport equipment. The successful applicant will be confident working both in the workshop and in the field, with occasional travel required.


Key Responsibilities



  • Service, maintain, and repair heavy earthmoving equipment and fleet vehicles.

  • Diagnose and fault-find mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.

  • Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.

  • Complete work to a high standard while maintaining accurate service records.

  • Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.

  • Travel to various sites as required to support field service operations.

  • Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with:

    • Caterpillar Excavators

    • Caterpillar Graders

    • Posi-Track Equipment



  • Sound experience working on:

    • On-highway trucks

    • Light vehicles



  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults.

  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Ability to work unsupervised and manage your own workload.
