Job description
  • Safely and efficiently deliver customer orders to designated locations
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and within expected timeframes
  • Provide friendly, professional, and courteous customer service during deliveries
  • Load, transport, and handle food orders carefully to maintain product quality
  • Follow all road rules, traffic regulations, and company driving policies
  • Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance or safety issues
  • Assist with basic in-store duties, including food order preparation support, cleaning, stocking, and packaging when not undertaking deliveries
  • Handle cash and electronic payments accurately where required
  • Maintain a clean, presentable, and roadworthy delivery vehicle
  • Comply with workplace health and safety procedures and food safety standards at all times

Task & responsibilities

  • Deliver customer orders safely and promptly to designated locations.
  • Verify the accuracy of orders and complete deliveries within required timeframes.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service during each delivery.
  • Load, transport, and handle food items carefully to preserve quality.
  • Adhere to road rules, traffic laws, and company driving procedures.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Support in-store operations by assisting with food preparation, cleaning, stocking, packaging, and other general duties when not making deliveries.
  • Process cash and electronic payments accurately when required.
  • Keep the delivery vehicle clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy.
  • Follow workplace health and safety requirements and comply with food safety standards at all times.

Qualification & experience

  • Relevant qualification and/or at least 1–2 years of relevant work experience
  • Previous experience in a delivery, transport, retail, or hospitality role will be highly regarded
  • A valid Australian driver's licence with a safe driving record
  • Good knowledge of local roads and the ability to use navigation systems
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently, and in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible attitude
  • Good time management and organisational skills
