We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is suited to an accounting professional with strong financial management skills who can support the company's financial reporting, payroll management, taxation obligations, budgeting, and business performance analysis.

The successful candidate will manage accounting functions, maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, analyse business performance, and provide financial information to assist management in making informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial information in accordance with accounting standards and company requirements.
• Prepare monthly financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and management reports.
• Analyse financial information and provide recommendations to management regarding business performance, costs, and financial planning.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice preparation, payment processing, and account reconciliations.
• Monitor client invoicing, service contracts, revenue collection, and outstanding receivables.
• Prepare and process payroll records for employees, including security personnel, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant employment obligations.
• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, payroll accounts, and financial transactions.
• Assist with preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections to support business planning.
• Monitor operating expenses, labour costs, and financial performance across business activities.
• Prepare BAS, GST reports, and other taxation-related documentation in consultation with external accountants where required.
• Maintain financial records, accounting systems, and supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Review financial processes and recommend improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting efficiency.
• Assist management with financial analysis relating to business growth, operational costs, and resource planning.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, financial institutions, and relevant stakeholders regarding accounting matters.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation requirements, and company financial policies.

What We're Looking For

• Relevant bachelor degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or a similar role.
• Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, budgets, and management reports.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles, taxation requirements, and financial compliance obligations.
• Experience using accounting software and financial management systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide practical recommendations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing financial information.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a professional business environment.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial and employee information.
