Functional area: Human Resources

The Role

The Human Resources Business Partner - Australia is responsible for leading and delivering the full employee lifecycle across Australia supporting the development construction and operation of renewable energy projects including wind solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

As a trusted advisor to leaders you will partner closely with theAustraliaManagement Team to build organisational capabilityattractandretainexceptional talent strengthen leadership effectiveness and ensure the workforce is positioned to support the companys continued will be a key conduit between centres of functionalexpertiseabroad and the Australian business.

This role combines strategic and operational responsibilities across workforce planning talent acquisitionremuneration organisational development leadership coaching learning and development employee relations culture payrollgovernanceand HR compliance.

Responsibilities

Strategic People Leadership

  • Develop and execute the People Strategy aligned to the companys Australian businessobjectivesand growth plans.

  • Partner with senior leaders toidentifyworkforce requirements across developmentconstructionand operational phases of projects.

  • Providestrategic advice on organisational design workforce capability successionplanningand talent risks.

  • Lead annual people planning processes including workforce forecasts headcountplanningand organisational capability reviews.

  • Utilise workforce data and analytics to support decision-making andidentifyemerging workforce trends.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Support global recruitment team withend-to-end recruitmentin Australia.

  • Develop talent attraction strategies to secure renewable energy capability.

  • Build talent pipelines for critical positions and future projects.

  • Manage relationships with recruitment partners.

  • Oversee onboardingto ensure successful employee transitions.

  • Support workforce mobility and international recruitment whererequired.

Remuneration & Reward

  • With support from global centre ofexpertise leadAustralianremunerationreview processes including salary benchmarking marketanalysisandremunerationrecommendations.

  • Maintainremunerationframeworks that support attractionretentionand internal equity.

  • Ensure compliance with legislative and governance requirements relating to remuneration

Leadership Development & Coaching

  • Coach leaders on people leadership performance management employeeengagementand organisational effectiveness.

  • Design and implement leadership development initiatives to strengthen leadership capability across the business.

  • Facilitate leadership workshops team effectivenesssessionsand culture initiatives.

  • Support leaders through organisational change businesstransformationand growth.

Learning & Organisational Development

  • Develop and implement annual learning and capability plans.

  • Establish development pathways for technicalprojectand leadership roles.

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Employee Relations & Performance

  • Provideexpert advice on employment legislationpoliciesand workplace practices.

  • Manage employee relations matters including performance managementinvestigationsand workplace grievances.

  • Support leaders in managing complex people issues whilemaintaininga positive employee experience.

  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation National EmploymentStandardsand company policies.

  • Maintain and continuously improve HR policies and procedures.

Culture Engagement & Wellbeing

  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and action planning.

  • Drive organisational culture programs aligned to company values.

  • Support diversityequityand inclusion strategies.

  • Develop and oversee wellbeing mentalhealthand psychosocial safety initiatives.

  • Promote a high-performing inclusive and psychologically safe workplace.

Payroll & HR Operations

  • Oversee payroll delivery through the companys external payroll provider.

  • Ensure payroll accuracygovernanceand legislative compliance.

  • EnsureHR systems and employee recordsare kept up to date.

  • Produce regular HR reporting and workforce analytics for leadership.

Qualifications

  • Academic background in Human Resources Business Administration Psychology or a related discipline with a strong people management focus.
  • Significant experience in a generalist HR Business Partner role within a fast-paced commercial and delivery-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and executives.
  • Proven experience working with employee representative groups unions and/or industrial relations matters within a complex organisational environment.
  • Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation.
  • Experience supporting organisational growth transformation and change initiatives.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex issues into practical business-focused solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders constructively

Highly Desirable

  • Experience within renewable energy infrastructure utilities construction engineering or resources sectors
  • Experience supporting high-growth organisations
  • Knowledge of project-based workforces and major project environments.
  • Experience withremunerationbenchmarking and incentive design.
  • Coaching or leadership development qualifications.
