ICU Registrar - NT

The Role
We are seeking expressions of interest from Intensive Care Registrars seeking broad, high acuity critical care experience and are interested in a leading tertiary teaching hospital in the Northern Territory.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy Intensive Care Unit caring for a diverse patient population with exposure to complex medical and surgical conditions, trauma and regional retrieval medicine. Working alongside experienced Intensive Care Specialists, you will develop advanced critical care skills within a supportive team that values teaching, clinical development and collaborative practice.

The Hospital
This tertiary teaching hospital is the principal referral centre for a vast and geographically unique region, delivering specialist services to a culturally diverse population and receiving complex referrals from across the jurisdiction.

Training & Development
The department is committed to supporting registrars throughout their critical care training, with opportunities to:

• Work closely with experienced Intensive Care Consultants and receive accessible senior supervision.
• Develop expertise in managing complex critically ill patients.
• Participate in structured teaching, multidisciplinary ward rounds and case-based learning.
• Gain experience in advanced critical care procedures and clinical decision-making.
• Contribute to audit, quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
• Build valuable experience within a WBA facility.

Requirements

• Eligible for registration with AHPRA.
• Recent experience in Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia or another acute care specialty.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
