This role is located at our processing site in Casino, NSW and requires daily on-site presence.

Richmond Dairies is a leading Australian-owned dairy processor based in Northern NSW. We specialise in the production of high-quality bulk dairy ingredients supplied to international markets across Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.

About the role

\n

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Lead product development projects across dairy powders, dairy protein concentrates, frozen dairy products and other dairy ingredient categories.
\n
• Manage the technical pipeline from concept through scale-up and commercialisation.
\n
• Ensure all new products comply with international food safety, quality, and export regulations.
\n
• Conduct product testing, formulation adjustments, nutritional analysis, and performance evaluations.
\n
• Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Sales, and Export teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
\n
• Maintain strong awareness of global dairy market trends and customer specifications.
\n
• Optimise processes to improve yield, consistency, and product performance in line with customer requirements.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Dairy Science (or related discipline).
\n
• 3–5+ years of experience in dairy or food ingredient product development, ideally within a manufacturing/export environment.
\n
• Knowledge of dairy processing, formulation, and quality systems.
\n
• Strong understanding of export compliance and international customer requirements.
\n
• Ability to translate technical capabilities into commercial solutions for overseas markets.
\n
• Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams.
\n
