Role Summary

\n

Responsible for managing and optimizing enterprise databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) and middleware platforms (Oracle SOA Suite, IBM MQ, WebLogic). Ensures high availability, performance, security, and reliability of mission‐critical systems through strong administration, tuning, automation, and HA/DR practices.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL databases.
\n
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and execute database tuning and capacity planning.
\n
• Manage database users, roles, privileges, and security policies.
\n
• Administer middleware platforms including SOA Suite, IBM MQ, and WebLogic.
\n
• Support deployments, monitor queues/JVM health, and resolve integration or messaging issues.
\n
• Implement and manage HA/DR solutions such as Oracle Data Guard and SQL Always On.
\n
• Execute backup/restore strategies and conduct regular DR testing.
\n
• Optimize SQL queries, indexes, storage, and middleware performance (JVM, threads, pools).
\n
• Develop automation scripts and maintain documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
\n
• Ensure compliance with security standards, certificate management, and governance controls.
\n

Skills & Experience

\n

\n
• 5–10+ years of DBA and middleware administration experience.
\n
• Strong SQL tuning, HA/DR configuration, and troubleshooting skills.
\n
• Hands-on experience with WebLogic, IBM MQ, Oracle SOA Suite.
\n
• Proficiency in Shell/Python/PowerShell scripting.
\n
• Experience supporting Production environments with on‐call duties.
