The Opportunity
\n
Under the AUKUS Pillar 1 initiative, Australia is moving toward acquiring and operating a fleet of conventionally armed, nuclear‐powered submarines (NPS). Delivering that capability safely requires world‐class nuclear safety expertise, which this role provides by working directly with government and defence stakeholders to develop nuclear safety‐informed design processes for naval nuclear facilities and infrastructure.
