GrainCorp is seeking a permanent Mechanical Trade qualified Fitter/Boilermaker to join the Carrington port in Newcastle. You will be responsible for a broad range of mechanical servicing, maintenance, installations and upgrades of fixed and mobile plant and equipment. This role provides an opportunity to assist in managing shutdowns. GrainCorp offers training and development pathways to support participation and personal development.

The Maintenance Team is based onsite and supports a continuous improvement culture that encourages contribution towards better plant reliability and safety.

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Fault finding and repairs to mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
\n
• Attending to equipment failure or breakdowns as they may occur
\n
• Preparing and submitting maintenance reports as requested
\n
• Record keeping using our SAP Maintenance platform for compliance
\n

\n

Qualifications and experience

\n

\n
• Trade certificate in mechanical, fitting and turning, boiler maker or similar
\n
• Proven fault-finding capabilities; proactive and safety-focused
\n
• Computer literate, self-motivated and reliable with strong time management and communication skills
\n
• Ability to work at heights and within confined spaces (required; qualifications for these tasks would be preferred but not essential)
\n
