Synechron is hiring Senior Abinitio Engineers in Sydney, Australia. Contract - 6 months (possibility of extension). Full working rights for Australia.

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Lead Level 3 or above support and technical troubleshooting activity.
\n
• Mentor and provide technical assistance to team members.
\n
• Apply and promote industry best patterns and practices.
\n
• Develop and deploy high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision.
\n
• Estimate development effort for new features.
\n
• Contribute to delivering data engineering/ETL solutions using Unix/Linux, Ab Initio and other data integration tools and frameworks.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Solid hands-on experience of data engineering/ETL principles and practices with Unix/Linux, Ab Initio and other data integration tools and frameworks.
\n
• Confidence in coding, design, debugging and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Ability to mentor and provide technical assistance to team members.
\n
• Mindset to apply and promote industry best patterns and practices.
\n
• Experience in developing and deploying high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision.
\n
• Experience with estimating development effort for new features.
\n
• Ability to lead Level 3 or above support and technical troubleshooting activity.
\n
• Hands-on programming experience of 8-12 years in Ab Initio related products and shell scripting; background with both Batch and continuous flows is highly regarded.
\n
• Experience with RDBMS (Oracle) and using SQL or other data integration/ETL tools.
\n
• AWS Cloud.
\n
• Integration knowledge of MQs, REST APIs and Kafka.
\n
• CI/CD concepts and ability to create pipelines in Jenkins, TeamCity, Ab Initio EME.
\n
• Coding - Python, Java.
\n
• DevOps and production support.
\n
