The core purpose and function of the Claims & Assessing Division is to manage the Claims process in order to provide A&G customers with a seamless and easy customer journey while controlling costs. The Home Change Delivery Team’s Purpose Is To \n

\n
• Ensure delivery of Home Claims-related initiatives with project and change expertise
\n
• Work with the Home Claims business to deliver problem definition and solution design with business analysis expertise
\n
• Deliver excellence in day-to-day operational support.
\n

Reporting to the Change Delivery Manager (Home), the Business Analyst will ensure the successful design and development of solutions for Claims & Assessing. This includes analysis activities for new and changing products, business processes, as well as operational and regulatory compliance-based changes/improvements.

\n

The Business Analyst will define and document business requirements, produce various governance material, model business processes, define and document IT functional specifications, and coordinate user acceptance testing.

What You’ll Be Doing Gathering system and process requirements and designing innovative solutions to business problems, which may involve: \n

\n
• Facilitating workshops and engaging with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts;
\n
• Conducting field and desk research e.g. user/stakeholder workshops, interviews and onsite observations, user surveys, competitor analysis and web analytics;
\n
• Developing business process maps to ensure clarity around process for all stakeholders
\n
• Where IT system solutions are included, translating business requirements into functional and system / I.T. requirements and specifications, and briefing these into the IT department.
\n

Delivering a quality outcome through the effective management of issues, change requests and testing, including: \n

\n
• Effectively managing any issues and subsequent change requests to balance the need for quality with cost and timeliness impacts.
\n
• Testing, including developing the testing and approval process, briefing the testing team(s) and ensuring that the solution fully meets original requirements.
\n
• Monitoring of changes post implementation to ensure success.
\n

Contributing To Project And Program Delivery By \n

\n
• Actively managing artefacts, including user/ business requirements, wireframes, proposals, scopes and project plans;
\n
• Taking accountability for assigned deliverables and ensuring effective and transparent communication with the project team.
\n

Building confidence with stakeholders, creating positive relationships and credibility by working collaboratively, through: \n

\n
• Investigating and measuring process-improvement opportunities and working with the business to recommend and implement solutions.
\n
• Supporting the continuous improvement culture by acting as a strong supporter of change.
\n

\n
• Networking with internal/external resources to bring best practices to the projects/organisation.
\n

Ensuring Changes Are Effectively Supported Once Implemented, Including \n

\n
• Policy, procedure and training material/user guides as appropriate.
\n
• Business process maps.
\n
• Reference material to provide clarity of system functionality.
\n
• Ensuring the Support & Testing Team have the necessary knowledge to support the change.
\n

What Experience You’ll Bring \n

\n
• Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
\n
• Minimum of 2-5 years' experience as a Business Analyst
\n
• Solid business process modelling (BPMN, Visio), As-Is/To-Be process mapping and data models;
\n
• Highly-developed written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Facilitation skills.
\n
• Stakeholder management.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the proven ability to work at all levels of an organisation;
\n
• A superior level of attention to detail and accuracy;
\n
• The ability to work autonomously while maintaining focus;
\n
• Experience in managing and completing user acceptance testing;
\n
• Must be a strong problem solver, comfortable with complexity and ambiguity
\n
• A passion for the User Experience
\n
• Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
\n
