\n

The Role

\n

As a Senior in our Assurance Division, you will report to the Manager and support the Partner in servicing the existing client base and in growing the client base.

\n

We are seeking a Senior to join the Assurance Division. An integral member of the Assurance Division, this position works autonomously to provide high-level support on internal audit, internal controls, risk management, information technology and data analytics. This position is also responsible for providing guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.

\n

Job tasks and responsibilities

\n

We have a full-time position available for a Senior in our Assurance Division, to commence employment as soon as possible. Duties will include:

\n

\n
• Demonstrated experience in internal audit, including strategic and operational audits
\n
• Reporting audit findings and developing recommendations
\n
• Assisting with developing and enhancing internal controls and risk initiatives
\n
• Ensuring compliance with and adherence to all relevant legislation and policies
\n
• Supervising of junior staff on larger engagements
\n
• Mentoring of junior staff in the Audit team
\n
• Participation in firm internal and external training sessions
\n
• Travel to and from clients around Australia as and when required
\n
• Ability to provide insights on governance, operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
\n
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, influence and collaborate across teams.
\n

\n

Skills and experience

\n

The ideal candidate will:

\n

\n
• Be CA/CPA/CIA or equivalent qualified with a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience
\n
• Have demonstrated experience in internal audit, risk, internal controls review, governance, information technology and data analytics, ideally in professional services
\n
• Have excellent great written and verbal communication skills
\n
• Be able to work independently or as part of a larger engagement team
\n
• Be able to control the audit process from planning through to completion
\n
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite
\n
• Experience with process mapping using Microsoft Visio desirable
\n
• Experience in data analytics in audit and assurance engagements through expertise in Excel, Teammate, DataSnipper, IDEA highly regarded
\n
