Job description
ACM Healthcare is recruiting an experienced Hospital Pharmacist for an 8-week locum assignment at Alice Springs Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your acute hospital pharmacy experience while working within a supportive multidisciplinary team in Central Australia.
The Opportunity
- 8-week locum assignment commencing on or around 27 July 2026
- $70–$85 per hour plus superannuation, depending on experience
- Full-time hours
- Return travel and accommodation provided in accordance with the assignment terms
- Supportive acute hospital pharmacy team
- Exposure to a diverse range of clinical presentations
The Role
You will provide clinical and operational pharmacy services across the hospital, including:
- Ward-based clinical pharmacy
- Medication reconciliation and medication reviews
- Inpatient and discharge dispensing
- Discharge medication management
- Collaboration with medical, nursing and allied health teams
- Supporting safe and effective medication use across the hospital
About You
To be considered, you will have:
- Current general registration with AHPRA as a Pharmacist
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience, ideally within an acute setting
- Experience in clinical pharmacy, dispensing and medication reconciliation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience using Merlin pharmacy software is desirable but not essential. Pharmacists with experience using other hospital pharmacy systems who are confident learning a new platform are encouraged to apply.
