Our client is delivering a large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure transformation programme of national significance, focused on modernising core platforms within a highly secure and regulated environment.

This programme spans multiple data centres and secure environments, forming part of a broader enterprise-wide uplift of critical infrastructure capability. It involves the migration of legacy virtualised environments into a modern, highly segmented and secure architecture powered by Cisco ACI and next-generation networking principles.

Operating within a Defence-aligned environment, the infrastructure being built and transitioned is fundamental to ongoing operations, meaning every change, configuration and cutover must be executed with precision, discipline and zero margin for error.

\n

This is a complex, multi-stream programme delivered in structured migration waves, where network stability, segmentation and connectivity are critical to the success of the overall transformation.

\n

About the role

\n

You will play a key role in the execution layer of the network transformation, working hands-on within migration waves to ensure seamless delivery across a Cisco ACI-driven architecture.

\n

This role sits at the centre of delivery — you will be working directly on cutovers, transitions and live environment changes, ensuring network integrity across compute, storage and VDI workloads.

\n

Key responsibilities

\n

\n
• Configure and manage Cisco ACI fabric, including EPGs, Contracts, policy enforcement and segmentation
\n
• Execute DNS, DHCP and IP transition activities aligned to migration waves and cutover schedules
\n
• Support and deliver network cutovers within tightly controlled maintenance windows
\n
• Validate and monitor network isolation and micro-segmentation policies during migration
\n
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues across compute, storage and VDI layers
\n
• Work closely with architects and engineers to ensure designs are implemented correctly and consistently
\n
• Support high-pressure migration events, ensuring minimal disruption to critical services
\n

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, operating in an environment where attention to detail, speed of execution and technical accuracy are critical.

\n

The successful candidate

\n

You are a strong network engineer who thrives in high-pressure, high-impact delivery environments, and is comfortable working within large-scale transformation programmes.

\n

\n
• 5–7+ years experience in enterprise network administration
\n
• Proven hands-on experience with Cisco ACI environments (EPGs, Contracts, segmentation)
\n
• Strong understanding of network segmentation, IP addressing, DNS/DHCP and migration cutovers
\n
• Experience supporting data centre migrations or large-scale infrastructure transitions
\n
• Strong troubleshooting capability across multi-layered environments (network, compute, storage)
\n
• Able to operate calmly and effectively during critical cutover windows
\n
• NV2 clearance preferred, OR NV1 with NV2 actively in progress (mandatory for consideration)
\n
