Health Promotion Officer
About the role
Robinvale District Health Services' is seeking a passionate and experienced Health Promotion Officer to join our dynamic team in Robinvale, Victoria. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating community-based health promotion initiatives to improve the overall health and wellbeing of the Robinvale community.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and deliver tailored health promotion programs that address the unique needs of the Robinvale community
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including local government, community groups and other health services, to identify and respond to community health priorities
- Design and implement effective health education and awareness campaigns to promote healthy behaviours and lifestyles
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of health promotion activities, and use data to continuously improve program delivery
- Contribute to the development of organisational health promotion strategies and policies
- Provide expert advice and support to the broader health service team on health promotion best practices
What we're looking for
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as health promotion, public health or community development
- Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing and evaluating community-based health promotion programs
- Strong understanding of the social determinants of health and a commitment to addressing health inequities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships
- Proficient in data analysis and utilising evidence to inform program planning and decision making
- Proven project management skills, including the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for improving the health and wellbeing of diverse communities
