What You'll Do

\n

\n
• Lead the design, development, integration and support of machine learning models for perception and data pipelines across multiple sensor modalities.
\n
• Develop software to manage and automate the ML lifecycle, including data management, pipelining, labeling, and training.
\n
• Manage model selection, training, validation, evaluation, deployment, and regression testing.
\n
• Handle training data sourcing, integration, and quality assurance.
\n
• Create tools and processes for machine learning in a classified environment.
\n
• Collaborate with cross‐functional teams—software, mechanical, and systems engineers—to ensure effective integration and testing.
\n

\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
\n
• Senior‐level experience delivering production‐grade software systems with mature ML components.
\n
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining ML Operations, including data acquisition, labeling, curation, pipeline management, CI, model versioning, and monitoring.
\n
• Ability to collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders on robust validation and verification strategies.
\n
• Experience delivering computer‐vision capabilities from data to model.
\n
• Capacity to work holistically on ML‐enabled capabilities throughout the software lifecycle.
\n
• Ability to mentor junior team members and build team cohesion.
\n
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Negative Vetting 2 security clearance (NV2).
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

\n
• Experience delivering capabilities to public‐sector customers.
\n
• Experience with workflow management tools such as flyte, airflow, or kubeflow.
\n
• Experience with PyTorch or other deep‐learning frameworks.
\n
• Experience with edge ML applications and inference engines such as TensorRT.
\n
• Proficiency in C++, Go, Python, or Rust.
\n
• Knowledge of data management and traceability techniques for reproducibility.
\n
• Desire to grow into a Tech‐Lead‐Manager role with line‐management responsibilities.
\n
