JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Foodie Mate Pty Ltd T/A Scott’s Luncheonette and Bar is a relaxed and modern café-bar located at Shop 1, 1114 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach, Qld, 4221, Australia. It offers a welcoming space for people to enjoy quality food and drinks throughout the day. Whether it’s a morning coffee, a hearty lunch, or evening cocktails, Scott’s provides a menu that suits a wide range of tastes, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Plan and organize the preparation and cooking of authentic Indian dishes and menus.
2. Develop and design menus considering seasonal availability, customer preferences, and cost factors.
3. Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
4. Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of all food prepared and served.
5. Monitor food preparation and cooking methods to maintain authenticity and hygiene standards.
6. Estimate food requirements and manage inventory, ordering, and storage of ingredients.
7. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health standards.
8. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering skill development and teamwork.
9. Control costs by managing portion sizes, minimizing waste, and optimizing resources.
10. Innovate and create new dishes to enhance the restaurant’s menu and customer experience.

ATTRIBUTES:

1. Minimum 1 year relevant qualification is required.
2. Minimum 1 year experience in a relevant discipline is required,
3. Committed to adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries at the workplace.

Job type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: 8 hours shift

Ability to commute/relocate: Shop 1, 1114 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach, Qld, 4221, Australia. Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience: At least 1 year (Preferred)

Salary: $81,000 – $83,000 annually
