Our Children’s Therapy and Family Supports Program provides therapeutic intervention and capacity building supports to children aged 0-10 years and their families. We service families through the NDIS, Department of Education’s Continuity of Support program and also provide capacity building supports to educators through the School Readiness Funding (SRF) program. Committed to best practice within the early childhood intervention space, our services are delivered based on the Key Worker model by using Transdisciplinary Practice (TDP) and Team Around the Child (TAC) approaches. YOUR opportunity to make a difference

You’ll lead a passionate team of Paediatric Allied Health professionals - including Occupational and Music Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Dietitians and Social Workers delivering in clinic and community-based therapy services to increase children’s meaningful participation in daily life.

Team coaching and capability growth, collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders and strong change management experience will be key to achieving positive outcomes for the children and families that we support.

This position provides a unique blend of Clinical and Operational leadership with a strong focus on evidence-based practice, innovative service delivery and compliance to drive growth and ensure financial sustainability. You’ll foster a culture of excellence, drive continuous improvement, and ensure services meet legislative requirements.

YOUR role and IMPACT

• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team of Allied Health professionals (up to 12 staff) to deliver exceptional services to children and families via strengths-based approaches.
• Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and collaboration, aligned with organisational values.
• Oversee day-to-day team operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, resource management.
• Monitor team performance against targets and KPIs, providing coaching and support to enable success.
• Implement and monitor systems that support service excellence, team efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure data integrity and timely reporting to support business analytics and decision making.
• Ensure compliance with NDIS practice standards, organisational policies, and legislative requirements.
• Identify and proactively manage risks affecting service delivery or team performance.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with families, carers, community agencies, educational institutions and other stakeholders.
• Maintain positive referral pathways with internal and external stakeholders, supporting cross-functional collaboration and synergies.
• Represent the organisation at forums, networks and external stakeholder meetings to advocate for the needs of children and families and showcase bestchance programs.
• Identify opportunities to grow and diversify services within the children’s therapy space and contribute to business development initiatives including - tenders, service proposals, marketing and outreach services and fostering strong partnerships.
• Contribute to the design, implementation and refinement of continuous improvement and change initiatives.

WHO we are looking for

• Experience leading teams within a multidisciplinary Allied health environment across Community, Disability, Education or Human Services sectors.
• People-first leadership style that motivates, supports and holds teams accountable.
• Strong working knowledge of the NDIS, children’s services and service delivery frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and drive achievement of KPIs and strategic goals.
• Excellent communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
• Solutions-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to challenges and continuous improvement.
• Passionate about early intervention and family-centred practice.
• Relevant qualification, preferably Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Psychologist or Social Worker
• AHPRA registration or registration with relevant professional body.
• Current Working with Children Check (Employee - Victoria)
• NDIS workers screening check (or willing to obtain)
• Unrestricted Australian work rights
• Current Driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
