Our participant, Madhavi, is at the heart of everything we do and we're looking for a dedicated support worker to join us on this journey.
About the Role
We are seeking apatient, empathetic, and reliable Disability Support Workerto provide one-on-one support to a female participant in Truganina.
This is a unique opportunity to build a meaningful connection with the same participant, providing consistent care in her home and community.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Personal Care:Assisting with daily hygiene, showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Mealtime Support:Meal preparation and assistance with eating and drinking
Community Access:Supporting the participant to attend social outings, appointments, and community activities
Household Tasks:Light cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe, clean environment
Therapy Support:Providing full attention to the participant and therapist during physiotherapy and hand therapy sessions
Documentation:Completing accurate shift notes and incident reports as required by NDIS Practice Standards
Relationship Building:Providing emotional support and companionship
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
Valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle (for community access)
Current Police Check
Working with Children Check (Employee)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A caring, patient, and respectful nature
Desirable:
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services
Experience supporting individuals with complex or challenging behaviours
Experience with manual handling and mobility aids
