Personal Care Attendant (PCA) – Lincoln Grove Retirement Village, Port Lincoln SA

Join our vibrant team as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) and embrace an exciting opportunity at Lincoln Grove Retirement Village located in Port Lincoln SA

A key requirement of this casual role is availability for night shifts, with the flexibility to pick up shifts at short notice to cover unplanned absences, sick leave and annual leave, ensuring continuity of care for our residents

Please note: This position is based in Port Lincoln, SA. To be considered, applicants must be currently residing in the local area and hold valid working rights in Australia.

We are seeking a motivated person to make a positive impact and become part of our close-knit team, as well as embrace the chance to be a source of support and comfort for our residents.

The position

Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting and supporting residents in their daily activities, including tasks like continence management, showering, dressing, and personal grooming
  • Ensuring residents receive their prescribed medications promptly and accurately
  • Collaborating in the preparation, service, and delivery of daily meals and special functions for our cherished residents
  • Managing laundry tasks for residents as required, maintaining their comfort and hygiene

We’re on the lookout for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience in the role and industry
  • Great communication skills both written and verbal
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support
  • National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain)
  • Prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol Testing
