Georgiou is seeking experienced Servicepersons to join our team for an upcoming major civil project for a blue-chip mining client in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.

Working a 2:1 FIFO roster ex Perth, you’ll join the project’s plant maintenance team, providing essential servicing, refueling and maintenance support across a substantial fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands heavy mobile plant, takes pride in looking after equipment and knows how important quality servicing is to keep a high-production earthworks operation moving.

About the role:
As a Serviceperson, you’ll play an important role in keeping the project’s heavy mobile plant serviced, fuelled and ready for operations.

Working closely with the maintenance team, you’ll undertake daily servicing, inspections, refuelling and greasing across a range of heavy earthmoving equipment while assisting with minor repairs and additional maintenance activities as required.

What you’ll be doing:
• Undertake daily servicing and inspections of mobile plant and equipment
• Carry out refueling and greasing across heavy machinery, ancillary equipment and vehicles
• Change oils and filters and assist with scheduled servicing activities
• Check fluid and oil levels and identify defects or maintenance requirements
• Assist with minor repairs to mobile plant and equipment
• Complete daily safety and defect checks and associated documentation
• Support the servicing of equipment including articulated and rigid trucks, scrapers, dozers, excavators, graders and wheel loaders
• Complete additional maintenance tasks as directed by the Workshop Supervisor
• Maintain service equipment and work areas to a high standard
• Work closely with the maintenance and production teams to help maximise plant availability
• Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with Georgiou’s safety, quality and compliance requirements

Your skills and experience:
• Previous experience servicing heavy mobile plant and earthmoving equipment
• Experience working with CAT, Komatsu or similar heavy equipment
• Previous mine site, FIFO or large-scale civil construction experience
• Those with a Tyre Fitting qualification and / or experience will be highly regarded
• Current HR driver’s licence
• Construction White Card
• Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of mobile plant servicing requirements
• Experience with daily refueling greasing, oil and filter changes and routine equipment inspections
• Ability to identify and report defects and emerging maintenance requirements
• Ability to complete servicing and inspection documentation accurately
• Strong commitment to safety and high-quality work
• Ability to work effectively as part of a site maintenance team
• Physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of the role
