As a Highways Engineer in our Brisbane team, you will play a key role in delivering innovative road and transport infrastructure projects for government, contractor and private sector clients. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the design, documentation and successful delivery of projects while supporting digital engineering and sustainable design outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise, take ownership of project deliverables and help shape high-quality infrastructure that makes a lasting impact.

The Opportunity

• Deliver the design and documentation of highway and transport infrastructure projects from concept through to detailed design.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, specifications, cost estimates and contribute to tender submissions and project delivery activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Take ownership of assigned project tasks, managing priorities, tracking progress and ensuring work is delivered in line with quality, health and safety requirements.
• Drive design excellence by applying industry standards, supporting digital engineering initiatives and contributing to continuous improvement across the team.

Is this role right for you?

• A recognised tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline) and membership, or progress towards membership, of a relevant professional institution.
• Experience in highway engineering design with a sound understanding of relevant legislation, standards, codes and guidelines, ideally including Queensland Transport and Main Roads (TMR) requirements.
• Proficiency in 12d Model, AutoCAD and associated software for road, drainage, utilities and 3D coordination modelling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive attitude, commitment to continuous learning and a passion for delivering innovative, sustainable and high-quality engineering solutions.
