Job Description

About the role

We are seeking an Application Developer to join Maurice Blackburn on a 6-month contract. In this role, you'll play an important part in designing, building and supporting applications that help our people deliver exceptional outcomes for clients. Working within our Digital & Technology team, you'll collaborate with a range of stakeholders to develop high-quality software solutions, enhance existing applications and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop,testand deploy software solutions that meet business requirements and development standards.
• Analyse technical and business requirements to deliver effective,scalableand maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand needs and provide expert technical input.
• Support andmaintainexisting applications, proactivelyidentifyingand resolving issues.
• Monitor application performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Produce andmaintaintechnical documentation to support ongoing development and application support.
• Participate in code reviews, testingactivitiesand deployment processes.
• Identifyopportunities to improve applications,processesand development practices.
• Contribute innovative thinking and problem-solving skills to complex development challenges.

Qualifications

What you'll bring

• Experience working with Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Azure Functions, Application Insights and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, databasedesignand data integration principles.
• Experience developing modern web applications using technologies such as Blazor, Bootstrap andSyncfusion.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, integrations, OAuth, JWT and authentication frameworks.
• Experience using GitHub, pull requests, codereviewsand CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of testing and quality practices, including unit testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Understanding of modern software architecture principles, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), secure codingpracticesand software design patterns.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code,Postmanand other contemporary development environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a collaborativemindsetand a passion for building high-quality solutions that deliverreal businessvalue.
