About the opportunity
This fixed-term apprenticeship runs for up to four years and is designed to support you from day one through mentoring structured learning and hands-on workshop experience. By the end of the apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to become a qualified Fabrication Boilermaker and complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering Boilermaking/Welding.
Youll be trained across the assembly disassembly maintenance and overhaul of underground mining materials handling equipment conveyor components gearboxes driveline equipment winching equipment hydraulic power packs and related workshop activities.
What youll learn
- How to read blueprints drawings and specifications to understand job requirements.
- Welding fabrication metal preparation and use of tools and machinery including MIG TIG MMA welding grinders drills and factory equipment.
- Assembly and overhaul of conveyor components and underground mining equipment.
- Safe workshop practices WH&S requirements and quality-focused work habits.
- How to work in a supportive team environment while building confidence trade knowledge and practical capability.
