We are looking for a motivated Casual Front Office Receptionist to join our team at Yallungah Boutique Hotel, 62 Byng Street, Orange, NSW — a one-of-a-kind destination for leisure and corporate guests that fuses contemporary art and striking design in a beautifully restored heritage homestead.
Role overview
The Casual Front Office Receptionist is the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process, as well as responding to guest requests in a prompt, friendly and efficient manner. You will also act as an ambassador for the region, providing town and tourism highlights for guests.

Key responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and out, and provide information about the hotel’s facilities, services and local attractions
- Handle phone and online reservations, ensuring accurate and timely booking of rooms
- Maintain guest records, process payments, and manage the front desk’s daily operations
- Address guest inquiries, requests and complaints promptly and professionally
- Liaise with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure rooms are ready and issues are resolved quickly
- Monitor guest access and maintain the security of the front desk area
- Interact with guests to gather feedback and ensure their stay exceeds expectations
