Senior Manager, Data Analytics Consulting

The Senior Manager, Data Analytics Consulting is responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling and coordinating complex ICT development and transformation projects involving data, analytics, artificial intelligence and cloud technologies. We take responsibility for our actions.ResponsibilitiesPartner with senior business and technology leaders to understand strategic objectives, identify business opportunities and translate requirements into actionable data, analytics and ICT solution roadmapsPlan, organise, direct and coordinate complex data, analytics and AI-enabled ICT projects across the full project lifecycle, including initiation, discovery, planning, solution design, development, implementation, monitoring and closureIdentify, evaluate and prioritise data, analytics and AI use cases based on business value, technical feasibility, data readiness and organisational capabilityDevelop enterprise data and analytics strategies, target-state architectures, implementation roadmaps and business cases aligned with clients' long-term objectivesAdvise clients on modern data platforms, business intelligence, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, data governance and cloud transformationDirect and coordinate the end-to-end development and implementation of modern data and analytics solutions, ensuring alignment between business requirements, solution architecture, project scope, schedules, budgets, milestones and agreed deliverablesCollaborate with Solution Architects, Technical Leads and delivery teams to define scalable, secure and maintainable data solutionsProvide leadership across multidisciplinary teams, including data engineers, business analysts, BI developers, data scientists, solution architects, quality engineers, DevOps engineers and other specialistsEstablish clear delivery priorities, outcomes, roadmaps and success measures, and ensure that delivery activities remain aligned with business objectivesAssess the availability, quality and suitability of data required for analytical solutions and recommend improvements to data architecture, data management and governance processesHelp clients identify what data should be captured, integrated, processed and made available to support business decisions and future analytical capabilitiesDefine measurable business outcomes and success metrics and support clients in monitoring the value delivered by data and analytics initiativesManage complex consulting engagements, including scope, delivery governance, stakeholder alignment, risks, dependencies and executive communicationsBuild and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, technology partners and third-party service providersCommunicate complex technical concepts, solution options, trade-offs and recommendations clearly to both business and technical audiencesFacilitate executive workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder discussions to establish alignment and support informed decision-makingDrive pre-sales activities, including opportunity qualification, solution shaping, proposals, responses to RFx, estimates, proof-of-concept initiatives and executive presentationsSupport account growth by identifying opportunities where data, analytics and AI capabilities can create measurable business valueContribute to the development of reusable consulting approaches, delivery assets, reference architectures and industry-specific offeringsProvide thought leadership on developments in cloud data platforms, advanced analytics, generative AI, data governance and emerging technology trendsLead, mentor and develop consulting and delivery team members, supporting recruitment, capability development, performance management and career progressionRequirementsAt least 10 years of professional experience in data and analytics, technology consulting, business intelligence, data engineering or related disciplinesDemonstrated experience leading data and analytics consulting engagements or large-scale transformation programmesStrong experience working with senior business and technology stakeholders to define strategies, roadmaps and technology-enabled business solutionsProven ability to lead engagements from initial discovery and advisory through solution design, implementation and adoptionStrong technical grounding and previous hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: data strategy and architecture, data engineering and integration, data warehousing and data platforms, business intelligence and data visualisation, data management and governance, advanced analytics, machine learning or artificial intelligenceExperience delivering enterprise data platform modernisation or cloud migration initiativesStrong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform, including Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud PlatformExperience with modern data and analytics technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI or comparable platformsPractical understanding of advanced analytics, machine learning and generative AI use cases, including their business value, data requirements, limitations and implementation considerationsStrong understanding of data architecture, data modelling, integration patterns, data quality, governance and the data lifecycleExperience managing consulting engagements, delivery priorities, risks, dependencies and
