Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd, located in Mackay, Queensland, operates two aged care facilities: Kerrisdale Gardens and Good Shepherd Lodge. We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our clinical team. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care, supervising and supporting care staff, and maintaining a safe and caring environment for residents.

About the Role:

\n

As an RN, you will play a vital role in coordinating and delivering clinical care, supporting residents' health and well‐being, and mentoring care staff under the guidance of our facility management. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. We are hiring for casual and permanent (part‐time and full‐time) positions.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
\n
• Supervise and support care staff in delivering high‐quality care
\n
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and clinical guidelines
\n
• Monitor and report on resident health status, including vital signs and changes in condition
\n
• Maintain accurate resident records and documentation in compliance with healthcare standards
\n
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to residents and their families
\n
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff
\n
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
\n

About You:

We are looking for a professional, compassionate, and reliable individual committed to delivering excellent nursing care. The successful candidate will have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
\n
• Previous experience in residential aged care
\n
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
\n
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‐paced, multidisciplinary team environment
\n
• Commitment to resident‐centred care and adherence to care plans
\n
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain prior to employment
\n
• Current Influenza (Flu) Vaccination or willingness to obtain, in line with QLD aged care requirements
\n
