Welcome to Hannah St Hotel, Southbank's newest neighbourhood precinct. Designed by Flack Studio, our hotel is an ever‐evolving framework for experience — a dynamic, open‐door space that reflects the spirit of Melbourne. With 188 authentically Melbourne guest rooms, Hannah St is a place for the late nights, the sleep‐ins, the early mornings, the long lunches, the unexpected encounters, and the familiar comforts.

We are seeking a Duty Manager who embodies our purpose: to create a hotel that is of place — a true coming together of the people and stories that make up this city.

Your Role in the Story

\n

As a full time Duty Manager, you are the heartbeat of our daily operations. You lead with warmth, precision, and a deep understanding of what makes a guest feel at home. You are a connector, between guests, team members, and the rhythm of the hotel.

What you'll do:

  • Be the go‐to for our Hotel team, guiding daily operations with a hands‐on, people‐first approach.
    • \n
  • Coordinate shift tasks and delegate with clarity and care.
    • \n
  • Ensure seamless check‐in/check‐out experiences, using guest names and personal touches that matter.
    • \n
  • Lead daily briefings to share hotel happenings — VIPs, group movements, feedback, and more.
    • \n
  • Confidently promote rooms, rates, and services, handling reservations and guest requests with pride, friendliness, and efficiency.
    • \n
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences, resolving concerns empathetically and ensuring all special requests are fulfilled.
    • \n
  • Maintain operational accuracy, including system updates, financial reporting, auditing, and adherence to credit/account procedures.
    • \n
  • Support team and shift coordination, ensuring smooth transitions, clear communication, and contributing to recruitment, rosters, and performance reviews.
    • \n
  • Ensure high presentation standards across the lobby, front desk, and F&B outlets, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
    • \n
  • Audit daily activity across Front Office and F&B operations.
    • \n
  • Support roster creation, recruitment, performance reviews, and team development.
    • \n
  • Maintain immaculate presentation across lobby, front desk, and F&B outlets.
