Full-Time Chef
Zaza is seeking an experienced and passionate Full-Time Chef to join our team.
Zaza is a modern pizza bar offering a curated menu of signature pizzas alongside a fresh build-your-own pizza experience. We combine quality ingredients, efficient service and a high-energy environment, and we’re looking for chefs who take pride in quality, consistency and teamwork.
The Role
As a Full-Time Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and baking pizzas to Zaza’s standards while maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen throughout service.
The successful applicant will work a rotating roster across lunch and dinner services, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
The successful applicant will have:
Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Chef, Pizza Chef or in a high-volume commercial kitchen.
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
Demonstrated experience preparing, stretching and baking pizza dough.
Experience operating commercial electric pizza ovens.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, baking techniques and maintaining consistent food quality.
Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistent food quality and presentation.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Reliability, professionalism and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing, stretching and baking pizzas to Zaza’s quality standards.
Producing Zaza’s signature pizza menu consistently and accurately.
Preparing and maintaining the build-your-own toppings bar throughout service.
Preparing fresh ingredients and ensuring all stations are fully stocked and service-ready.
Contributing towards menu development and the introduction of new menu items.
Training and supporting junior team members to maintain Zaza’s quality and service standards.
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
Assisting with stock rotation and inventory management.
Following all food safety, hygiene and cleanliness procedures.
Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
Working collaboratively with the wider Zaza team.
Contributing to a positive team culture and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Salary
$80,000 per annum + superannuation
This is a full-time position.
