About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Internal Sales Representative to join a busy branch environment.
In this role, you will provide high-quality customer service while supporting the growth and development of existing and prospective customers. You will act as a product and service expert, helping customers find the right solutions while ensuring orders, quotations and sales activities are handled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, including processing customer orders and responding promptly to enquiries, concerns and complaints.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify their ongoing needs.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
  • Prepare quotations in collaboration with the Branch Manager and relevant sales team members.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records and CRM activity.
  • Assist with sales projects, proposals and marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with branch teams, external sales, product and inventory teams, supply chain and other departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Support pricing, stocktaking, purchasing and inventory-related activities.
  • Prepare required sales reports, records and documentation.
  • Participate in branch meetings and contribute to sales improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong focus on workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team while also being comfortable working independently.

About YouWe are looking for someone who brings:

  • Previous experience in an internal sales, customer service, sales support or similar role, preferably within an industrial, trade, logistics or distribution environment.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Good product knowledge and the ability to understand customer requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive, practical and solutions-focused attitude.
  • The ability to work quickly, accurately and methodically in a busy environment.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety.

A Certificate II or III in Warehousing Operations and/or Logistics, or demonstrated experience in a similar role, is desirable.
Systems & TechnologyYou will be comfortable using standard business systems, including:

  • Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • CRM and customer database systems.
  • Inventory and sales/order management systems.

Experience with systems such as eCos or Pronto would be advantageous.
