As the Operations Duty Manager youll be at the heart of that operation leading critical decisions driving operational performance and developing a high-performing team within the Jetstar Operations Control Centre (JOCC).

This is a key leadership role responsible for the safe compliant and efficient delivery of the flying programme. Youll lead teams through real-time operational challenges influence outcomes across the network and play a significant role in building the capability of current and future operational leaders.

The core responsibilities of this role will be:

• Lead and develop a team of Operations Controllers and Officers driving performance capability and engagement.
• Provide operational leadership across the day-of-operations ensuring the safe compliant and efficient delivery of Jetstars flying programme.
• Act as a key decision-maker during operational disruptions balancing customer operational and commercial priorities.
• Drive strong operational outcomes across safety compliance on-time performance and cost management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Flying Operations Maintenance Crewing Dispatch and other operational teams to optimise network performance.
• Foster a culture of accountability continuous improvement and operational excellence while developing future leaders within the team.
• Act as the delegate for the Manager JOCC Operations providing leadership and direction across the operation when required.

To be considered key skills will include:

• Proven experience leading high-performing teams in a complex operational environment.
• Strong operational leadership experience within aviation airline operations or a comparable 24/7 operation.
• Demonstrated ability to develop people build capability and drive performance outcomes.
• Sound decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Exceptional stakeholder management communication and influencing skills.
• Strong commercial awareness problem-solving capability and continuous improvement focus.
• A safety-first mindset underpinned by strong compliance and risk management knowledge.
• Resilience adaptability and the ability to lead through change.
