Veterinarian Position - Kinglake, Yarra Valley (Victoria)

Full or Part-Time | Mixed or Small Animal Focus

Clinic: Mountain Ranges Vet Clinic, Kinglake

Salary: $90,000-$150,000 (DOE)

Kieron Wineberg, Lead Consultant at Global Veterinary Careers, is representing Mountain Ranges Vet Clinic, an independent, community-focused practice in the scenic Yarra Valley. He is currently seeking a compassionate and capable veterinarian to join their friendly, supportive team.

Why This Role Stands Out

• Mostly Small Animal Work (95%)

With the occasional sheep or goat, and plenty of room for vets with large-animal interests.

• Excellent Facilities & Clinical Support

The clinic is well equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house IDEXX, IM3 dental, dental radiography, and more-supported by experienced vets and dedicated nurses.

• Great Work-Life Balance

Choose 3-5 days per week, including some Saturday mornings.

  No after-hours work - ever.

• Diverse & Rewarding Case Mix

A steady flow of general practice, emergency work, and wildlife cases. The clinic works closely with Melbourne specialist hospitals for advanced referrals.

• Professional Development Encouraged

Funding for ongoing CPD is available for vets who want to grow.

• Lifestyle Benefits

A clinic vehicle is available when needed. Kinglake offers a relaxed small-town lifestyle with the Yarra Valley's wineries and day spas only 20-30 minutes away, and Melbourne just over an hour's drive.

Who They're Looking For

• A warm, personable veterinarian who builds strong client relationships

• Someone who values a non-corporate, community-driven clinic - no KPIs, no pressure selling

• A collaborative team player with strong communication skills

• A vet confident with driving on country roads (current licence required)

• Willingness to handle occasional large animal work (sheep/goats)

• Strong problem-solving ability and comfort with a varied caseload
